Undergraduate / Graduate programmes

From the very start of your career journey, we offer the best possible support to help you in becoming the best possible Pharmacist. From our Summer Placement Programmes to Pre-Registration you'll find some of the most successful and highly regarded training in the industry.

SPP Student

We're well known for our passion and investment in the training and development of tomorrow's professionals.

That's why so many talented young people know the best way to start your career in pharmacy is to join us for our eight week Summer Placement Programme (SPP).

You're welcome to take part during any or all of the summers during your degree, but it's vital to complete a placement in your third year, as it's the way to gain a place on our Preregistration Programme.

The experience gives you a real opportunity to put into practice everything you're learning at University. It'll give you the chance to understand community pharmacy first hand, and to work with patients, all with the support of our pharmacy teams.

We structure your training depending on your year of study, that way we can offer you something different each year you attend. Your learning will be tailored dependent on your strengths, development needs and areas of interest, plus you'll have regular reviews with your tutor, personal coaching and career discussions. For more information on our Summer Placement Programmes, visit our dedicated Summer Placement Programme website.

Wesley, a previous student from our Summer Placement Programme (SPP) gives his thoughts on how valuable the experience of working in a Boots pharmacy has been in shaping them as Pharmacists for the future.
